Diving in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park 
Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, named after the first Prime minister of Malaysia is a spectacular sanctuary established in 1974. It covers about 50 square kilometres and is one of Sabah's most popular parks. The protected area includes the rich seabeds of the islands of Pulau Gaya, Sapi, Manukan, Sulug and Mamutik. The islands are covered with lowland forest and mangroves which form a sanctuary for a variety of birds, insects, reptiles and small mammals.
The five islands of the National Park form an elegant arc 3 - 8 km. off the coast of Kota Kinabalu, characterized by shallow water and sumptuous coral gardens. A variety of reef fauna can be seen – crab, lobster, nudibranchs, cuttlefish, butterflyfish, pufferfish, boxfish, parrotfish and wrasses, numerous species of scorpion fish, rays, moray eels and above all, the ever-present anemones with their vividly coloured symbiotic clownfish. We offer dive trips on a daily basis, all year round. The best time to dive is from March to October when the water temperature is 27 to 29 degrees Celcius. From January to March the water temperature drops a little but you have the chance to see whale sharks. Let us know your particular interest, whether it's fish watching or photography and our staff will bring you to the most interesting locations.
