Pulau Tiga Trip, The Survivor Island Tour
Pulau Tiga is very well-known for its natural mud volcano that's never failed to make someone feel comfortable and having fun at the same time in the mud pool.
The Pulau Tiga Marine National Park is also well known as 'Survivor Island' because of the popular Million Dollar Prize Money TV series 'Survivor' by the CBS TV network, USA.
This is the exact island that the entire first series was filmed! The fact that this island was chosen was due to its untouched natural landscape and marine life.
Itinerary
8:00 am - Depart from your hotel and overland to Kuala Penyu Town.
9:30 am - Arrive at Kuala Penyu and transfer you to the jetty.
10:00 am - Boat depart to Survivor Island Pulau Tiga. The journey takes only 25 minutes to get there.
10:30 am - Arrive at Survivor Island. Meet upon arrival for the short debriefing, then trek to the Mud Volcano and soak yourself into the pool of therapeutic volcanic mud. After a muddy experience, retrace journey back to the beach to wash off mud with a short stop over the site where the Fame SURVIVOR Series was filmed by the American CBS production in March 2000 and the UK based BBC production the following year.
12:30 pm - Lunch will be served at the restaurant.
1:30 pm - Proceed to the nearby Sand Bar and Snake Island by boat.
2:30 pm - Return to Kuala Penyu Town by boat and overland to Kota Kinabalu.
